Dóra always wanted to smile boldly. She was a cheerful, open personality, yet she hid her smile for years. Her friends said she had a beautiful smile, but she felt differently. Her teeth were fine, yet something bothered her – or rather: too much of something. When she smiled, her gums came to the fore, overwhelming her teeth. This phenomenon, which is called a “gummy smile” in the medical jargon, makes many people’s lives difficult, and it overshadowed Dóra’s as well.
